Plan Be is an innovative and contemporary clinical psychology service which offers accessible, timely and affordable structured psychology programs for people who find it challenging to manage painful emotions, struggle to find and keep healthy relationships, have difficulties in understanding themselves, and fear the painful events that happen in the course of life. These features are sometimes seen in those of us affected by personality disorder, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and complex trauma-related disorders.
Psychology programs at Plan Be are trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. Clients who identify as neurodivergent may wish to explore their underlying strengths and vulnerabilities via our Gold Standard assessment for autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
At Plan Be, we understand that some of us didn’t get the life we might have wished for. Being born sensitive in an insensitive world, painful childhood experiences, traumatic events, and the absence of healthy support people in our lives may have led to adulthoods characterised by difficulties in having a strong sense in who we are, chronic attempts to avoid, control and escape painful emotional situations, simmering anger, and challenges in developing and sustaining healthy relationships. We often find ourselves feeling unequipped to deal with the everyday stress an ordinary life brings. At Plan Be, we support each other to build strong and healthy foundations and learn to use valuable tools to support us in scaffolding the emotional, cognitive, relational, and behavioural structures we need to live meaningful and satisfying lives on our own terms.
Plan Be takes a contemporary and best-evidence approach to working with people through structured psychology programs. We utilise Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - informed frameworks to support our clients in developing and nurturing skills to thrive in a world which is frequently uncertain, unfair at times, and often insensitive to our emotional needs.
Plan Be also offers people the choice of working with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
You can choose to do individual therapy, group skills training, or a combination of both.
You can read more about CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR here:
